Yesterday 06/10/2009 night,the Machiri Company dug holes caused yet another damage,two cows fell into one of the uncovered holes which were left during water piping by the company in Khalaba Location of Bungoma south District,one of the cows was saved alive but the other unlucky one died after breaking his neck on falling in the deep hole.

It is just a few weeks ago when a lady fell in the same hole.Now residents of Khalaba Location are asking the minister in charge to do something because these cases of negligence by contracted companies are causing more loses than their projects are bringing the people.

The owner of these cows,one Mr.Josephat Mungai was a very sad man after realizing this cow he had bought for 35,000Kshs. died under these circumstances,these cows were being escorted to the owners residence when this occurred.

Mr.Mungai has vowed to seek Legal redress as he plans to sue Machiri Contractors Company.
